White Sands is situated about 10km past Barra Lodge. It is at the end of the peninsula, near the opening to the Inhambane Bay and a 4x4 is needed to get there. At spring high tide access is only possible along the beach.
The ablutions are clean and new with both hot and cold water. There are plenty of showers both in and outdoors to accommodate all guests.
Power is supplied by generator which runs from 07am to 09am and again from 5pm to approximately 11pm. Plug points are available. Due to electricity being supplied by generator, White Sands prohibits any use of Electrical items with Elements, such has kettles, stoves etc.
Chalets are self catering and have basic cooking utensils, gas stove and fridge/freezer. Bedding is provided and mozie nets, PLEASE TAKE OWN TOWELS. WASHING UP LIQUID, DISH CLOTHS, WASHING POWDER, TOILET PAPER ETC, are not supplied.
There are 2 x 6 bed and 2 x 8 bed self catering Chalets, there is one bed room down stairs with a double bed and all single beds up stairs in an open planed area.
