WILD DOLPHINS… NO captivity … NO Feeding … NO coaxing!

At Ponta Malongane there are approximately 100 Inshore Bottlenose and Spinner dolphins that are resident in the area. It is here where you may have several opportunities to meet these magical beings in their natural environment. All the encounters are done on a non-invasive manner. Over the years it would appear the dolphins enjoy the encounters with us humans as much as we enjoy the dolphin ones!

Research suggests that swimming with dolphins has a physiological as well as psychological effect on humans. Just being in their presence seems to evoke feelings of profound inner peace and joy. The dolphin dream is infectious; our participants often find that they experience a positive shift in their world after spending time with them.

All our tours include a snorkeling course and a fascinating presentatio0n on the dolphin/human connection. We share information about the code of conduct necessary whilst swimming with wild dolphins, including guidelines of ‘things to do’ to enhance your encounter.

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS:

1. RUSTIC OPTION – MALONGANE RESORT

Ponta Malongane Holiday Resort is an unforgettably beautiful destination in subtropical southern Mozambique. Sleeping arrangements are in Log cabins with beds and linen or tents on decking with mattresses, nestled into the Mozambican forest with near-by ablution facilities. The resort lies right on the beach so that you can be gently lulled to sleep by the ocean surf.

2. LUXURY OPTION – TARTARUGA LUXURY TENTED CAMP

This exclusive tented camp accommodates a maximum of 14 people and offers total privacy and tranquility. Build on wooden platforms; the tents are spacious and airy, fully fitted with en-suite bathrooms, hot water, electric fans and comfortable beds with ‘walk-in’ mosquito nets. Shaded wooden walkways link each tent with the main deck overlooking the Indian Ocean.
