The Rovuma Carlton Hotel was reopened in 1998 after extensive renovations by the Pestana Hotel group. It is ideal for both business and leisure travelers due to it’s position in the centre of the city. It is within the central business district and surrounded by famous tourist attractions such as the cathedral, botanical gardens, and railway station designed by Eiffel. Mavalane International Airport is only 10 minutes away.
The Rovuma Carlton Hotel boasts 213 air-conditioned rooms, including 48 suites overlooking the bay of Maputo and the city centre. Every room has en-suite bathroom, television, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, safe and mini bar.

There are two restaurant's and two bars in Rovuma Carlton. A sumptuous buffet breakfast is included in the rate and can be taken inside in the restaurant or outside on the terrace next to the plunge pool. Food is available all day, either snacks or a full menu.

The Rovuma Carlton has facilities to cater for all conference and banqueting requirements for groups of between 10 and 300 guests in one or more of three conference rooms.
