Praia da Barra is the southern point of the Inhambane Bay and is situated 10km's north of Tofo Beach.
It is 485kms north of Maputo, access is on tarred roads until the last 7kms leading to the lodge's which is sand - a 4x4 is necessary.
Barra is a secluded unspoiled beach bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side and the crystal clear waters of the Indian ocean on the other. The warm waters offer safe bathing and smooth and easy boat launching. Fishing grounds and diving reefs are nearby and the largely unexplored reefs offer endless pleasures for skin divers and snorklers.The estuary has magnificent mangrove areas which are spectacular to explore by boat.
The nearest is town is Inhambane one of the oldest civilised towns in Mozambique dating back to the 1500’s and the Arab traders.
