Ponta Malongane has camping, accommodation and a dive camp spread over a large area of indigenous trees offering plenty of shade. The resort is situated near the beach, sheltered by dunes and separated from the sea only by a hedge. There is a restaurant with DSTV, bar and well stocked shop.

CAMPING
Quantity:
10 Small Campsites (6 people*);
17 Medium Campsites (8 people*);
20 Large Campsites (12 people*)

Campsites: All campsites are well shaded by trees and are only a few meters off the beach. Each campsite is supplied with a plug point. Campsites are spread along the resort, some of them are very close to the restaurant, the others are situated near the dive camp. The resort has 6 / 8 and 12 person camp sites.
There are seven shared ablution blocks with cold and hot water servicing camping and the dive camp area in the resort.
Please note: The Mozambican electricity system cannot supply the resort with enough power to use appliances with elements. Please do not plug them in, otherwise this will trip the power and you will be left with no electricity at all; rather use gas.

SELF CATER UNITS
Quantity:
4 four-bed Chalets (B1-B2, C1-C2);
4 five-bed Chalets (D1-D2, E1-E2);
2 six-bed Chalets (A1, A2)

Chalets: There are 4, 5 and 6 bed chalets. All of them have on suite bathroom with hot and cold water and kitchenette with a fridge, and are equipped with single beds, chairs and a table as well as crockery and cutlery.
The chalets are cleaned and serviced daily by the resort staff, linen is provided.
Please bring your own beach and bath towels, anti-mosquito repellants and a torch.
The chalets are conveniently situated in the middle of the resort.
All chalets have a little cement porch with a wooden table and branches so you can sit outside and enjoy wild Mozambican nature surrounding you.

RONDAVELS
Quantity:
4 four-bed Rondavels (J, K, L, M);

Rondavels: There are few different types of rondavels. All 4-bed a rondavels have on suite bathroom with hot and cold water and kitchenette with a fridge.
Full crockery, cutlery and linen are provided.
Please bring your own beach and bath towels, anti-mosquito repellants and a torch.
The rondavels are serviced by housekeeping on a daily basis. All rondavels are equipped with their own barbeque/braai grids.

LOG HUTS
Quantity:
19 loghuts

Log Huts are wooden two bed huts with no on suite bathroom. Two shared ablution blocks with cold and hot water service this area. The resort provides linen.
Booking in a log hut will allow you to make use of a self-catering kitchen and some fridge space in the dive camp, which will be allocated to you on your arrival.

TENTS ON DECK AND TENTS ON GROUND
Quantity:
14 tents on deck;
11 tents on ground - No mattresse

Tents: 2 man dome tents with twin bedded mattresses. There is no on suite bathroom, two shared ablution blocks with cold and hot water servicing the area. No plug points are supplied to the tents.
Please provide your own linen.
Booking in both types of tents will allow you to use self-catering kitchen with cutlery and crockery and some fridge space in the dive camp; fridge space will be allocated to you on your arrival.
Tents is an ideal accommodation if you are a diver and you are going to spend most of your time in the dive camp. The dive camp’s self-catering kitchen, the kit-up area and our famous Nascer do Sol bar are situated very close to the tents.

Malongane Activities
Activities include scuba diving, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, fishing charters, swimming with dolphins and nature walks. Turtle night drives are conducted under the auspices of the Turtle project. Between October and February you are escorted to egg-laying sites, where relevant data is explained and recorded for conservation purposes.
