Pestana Bazaruto Lodge is on the largest Island of the Bazaruto Archipelago, approximately 600 km north of
Maputo (the capital of Mozambique). The island - carefully protected as a Nature Reserve Park - is a beautiful and unspoilt destination, characterized by its wild fauna, turquoise sea, and idyllic beaches.
The Resort offers a unique combination of beauty, comfort and relaxation that makes it the perfect spot for nature lovers as well as divers and water sport enthusiasts, especially fishing.

TRANSFERS - MAPUTO/BAZARUTO/MAPUTO
Flights from Maputo or Johannesburg to Vilanculos are available, followed by a 30-minute daily shuttle transfer from Vilanculos to Bazaruto Island. Transfers from the airstrip to the Lodge is by Land Rover, an approximate 5 minute drive over a distance of 1.5km.

ROOMS - Pestana Bazaruto Lodge offers 26 “A-frame”, thatched bungalows comprising of
12 standard bungalows, 2 family bungalows, 11 superior bungalows and 1 honeymoon bungalow set amongst lush tropical gardens, with magnificent views. All rooms accommodate double or single occupancy, and are equipped with air conditioner, ceiling fan, private bathroom and exterior shower.

RESTAURANTS - The Resort has one main Restaurant, and every evening African drums announce dinner.
For lunch, a light meal can be served by the pool, or a picnic prepared for the beach. The restaurant offers a buffet or á la carte menu with sea food a favourite specialty.
BARS - Bar next to the swimming pool.
